Eventbrite expands its partnership with Festival Awards

branding_eventbrite_1Building on the success of last year’s partnership, global self-service ticketing platform, Eventbrite, and Festival Awards Ltd have expanded their collaboration for the 2013 Festival Awards.

For the first time, Eventbrite will be the exclusive ticketing partner of not only the UK Festival Awards and Conference, but also the European Festival Awards.

“Eventbrite’s ethos of democratising the events sector through easy-to-access high-quality ticketing services is exactly in-line with our beliefs,” says Festival Awards General Manager James Drury. “Our UK Festival Conference is all about sharing of best practice and providing a forum to enable people to organise excellent quality events. Our Awards events recognise the success in those fields.

“We’re really happy to be working with Eventbrite again and to expand our relationship into Europe – it’s a great service that we’ve found incredibly useful for selling tickets to our own events.”

Marion Gamel, Head of Marketing, EMEA at Eventbrite comments: “Festivals have become incredibly popular in the UK and Europe. Eventbrite helps organisers with ticketing of all events, big and small, dedicated to sharing live experiences around music, food, literature, beer, and anything you can imagine. We’re delighted to be part of recognising the best of these festivals with the Festival Awards.”

The UK Festival Awards and Conference attracts over 1,000 people from across the festival industry to a day of networking, learning and celebrating achievements of the past year.

The European Festival Awards, in association with Yourope welcomes representatives from over 26 countries to toast the successes of over 350 festivals, at a gala event opening the Eurosonic Noorderslag event in the Netherlands.

In 2012 the Festival Awards attracted over a million votes, and saw almost 1,000 festivals from across the world take part.
