UK: The Chalke Valley History Festival (CVHF), set to take place from June 22 – 28 2015, has joined the growing number of British boutique festivals that have selected Topher as its traffic and security specialist of choice. Set in a stunning location on the chalk downs of Wiltshire, the CVHF features a week of historical reenactments, activities, public lectures, debates and discussions. With large numbers of visitors arriving at the rural location, capable and professional traffic management is essential.

Topher, who provided security for CVHF 2014, will this year also be responsible for managing the large volume of traffic arriving on-site, and ensuring all visitors can get their vehicles parked as efficiently and quickly as possible. Topher’s traffic marshals are all Community Service Accreditation Scheme (CSAS) accredited, meaning they have been trained, and are authorised, to direct and stop traffic and close a public highway if necessary. These considerable powers, the same as those entrusted to the police, are vital to a comprehensive traffic management solution, on a busy site and adjoining a major trunk route like the CVHF.

When asked why he chose Topher for the third consecutive year, Terry Barratt, Managing Director of Red Kite Management Services explained: “Topher’s professionalism is absolutely second to none. Topher not only delivers a top class security service, its personnel never fail to build a positive rapport with our visitors, provoking lots of positive comments and feedback. Smartly dressed and polite to a fault, Topher’s security officers are a valuable asset to our customer service as much as they are to our security. This year we have asked Topher to manage the traffic at the festival, making its marshals the first point of contact for many of our guests. We are also taking advantage of their enormous popularity with the public by having them collect tickets, greet and direct arriving visitors.”

Chris Haywood, Topher’s Managing Director commented: “Chalke Valley History Festival is an amazing event, so I’m very proud it has chosen us to provide not only security but the all-important traffic management services too. I’m also very pleased to say that our Authentic Nepalese Curry Tent will be at the festival too!”
