UK: OnBeat, a music event app business, has launched a new service for event organisers that allows them to create bespoke festival guide apps for iOS and Android users.

OnBeat’s team encompasses a wide range of industry experience, and has co-founder of DJ Mag Spain, Jack Howell, at the helm. Howell said of the launch: “There is a gap in the market to create interactive festival guides that are both innovative but also good value for money for events companies. Festival-goers are increasingly planning their lives and communicating through their mobile devices. Our apps represent this natural evolution.

“Through economies of scale OnBeat can collate feedback from users to further improve the app and ensure that costs for event organisers remain low.”

OnBeat emphasises that its apps should be used as a communication tool before and after the event too. It can be used to build up excitement prior to the event by festival organisers, and showcase certain artists’ SoundCloud profiles and latest releases. When the festival has finished, organisers can keep users active on the app with promotional offers and post-event videos, all the while driving advertising revenue and marketing any future events.
