DENMARK: Roskilde Festival has announced that all 80,000 weekend tickets for its 2017 edition have sold out. The 47th edition of the Danish non-profit festival will commence on June 24 for eight days of community, art and music.

Roskilde Festival spokeswoman, Christina Bilde, said: “It’s an amazing feeling to have a sold out festival once again. We can’t wait to welcome the thousands of guests, and we’re happy that 80,000 festival-goers have chosen the full experience. They will be part of a very special community for eight full days. The ticket sales are also a positive indication that we can once again expect a healthy profit to be donated in full to charity after the festival.”

The tickets have been sold in 82 countries, and 15% of the tickets have been sold to individuals outside of Denmark.

The full festival experience includes 180 concerts across nine difference stages; art projects; culinary delights; and an abundance of activities, parties and communities.

    Roskilde Festival has been sold out in 2010, 2011, 2012, 2014, 2015 and 2016.
