Tomorrowland and Rock Werchter In CORE Collaboration

Great site, amazing backdrop.

A ‘sensational collaboration’ and an ‘unprecedented effort’ has led to Tomorrowland and Rock Werchter creating CORE, a new, two day boutique festival in the capital of Europe, or at least the joint administraative centre of the EU, Brussels; but the crucial thing is the CORE Festival that ‘wants to awaken all senses with a unique total experience where nature, live music and art meet’. 27th and 28th MAy is when this happens.

The eclectic line up, set to appear on 4 stages, will be announced soon. Wielding a wide array of various genres and niches, the festival will be breaking the boundaries between quality indie, hip hop, electronica, hyper pop and alternative dance, offering moments of continuous discoveries from upcoming talents and international heroes. CORE Festival will offer festivalgoers more than just the music experience, immersing them within the raw beauty of nature’s surroundings. An ensemble of impressive and unique art, sound and light installations that blend harmoniously will awake all senses, complemented by an exquisite food experience.

CORE will be located at the Osseghem Park – a beautiful and picturesque nature area in Brussels, located at the foot of the famous Atomium on the Heysel Plateau. The organizers have consciously opted to bring the CORE Festival to the edge of town, while Brussels is home to a wide range of hotels and accommodation options, catering to a vast array of budgets.

Philippe Close, mayor of the city of Brussels is an early supporter, expressing pride that “Tomorrowland and Rock Werchter, two of the most important players in the world of music, are coming to Brussels with this new concept. A total experience of music, art and nature. Brussels celebrates and thus enables the event, cultural and hotel industry to breathe again.” A political figure reconising the value of festivals, we’ll have more of that please.
