    ecolibrium, the industry charity on a mission to move low-carbon travel to the heart of live events culture, welcomes ‘You. Smart. Thing.’ (YST) as this year’s partner, whose travel demand management and wayfinding platform nudges visitors towards lower carbon travel.

    The partnership sees YST integrate climate action donations to their platform through ecolibrium, meaning that route-planning eventgoers can donate to ecolibrium’s climate action partner projects via an events’ YST-powered travel assistant service.

    Bethan Riach, Communications Manager for ecolibrium comments;

    “The ‘You. Smart. Thing.’ service aligns with our mission – with a platform dedicated to showing event-goers the most sustainable journey options, tackling what is typically the greatest environmental impact.”

    The Showman’s Show 2023 will embed the platform in their registration process, and both ecolibrium and YST will attend the Vision: 2025 Sustainable Event Summit – hosted at The Show on the 18th October 2023 – to support conversations on event travel emission reductions.

    ecolibrium supports events to better understand travel footprints and reduce emissions. The YST platform can be used within an events’ web, mobile, and ticket booking systems providing data capture on audience and participant travel behaviours, as well as CO2e emissions.

    Chris Thompson, CEO, ‘You. Smart. Thing.’ comments:

    “We’re delighted to be partnering with ecolibrium to help the live events sector to better understand and manage visitor travel behaviour, offering sustainable options from the point of consideration to planning a trip and attending an event, to streamlining event egress and making sure everyone gets safely home.”
