Testicular Cancer Awareness – It’s In The Bag!

What have music festivals and testicular cancer got in common? You would probably think not a lot, but South West based charity It’s in the Bag have combined the two with Test Fest, a music festival that promotes men’s health and raises awareness of testicular cancer, with the aim of saving lives. It is the only Music Festival of its kind in the UK and probably the only festival where it is absolutely normal for people to routinely wear orange pants on the outside! After the success of being shortlisted for Brand Activation at the UK Festival Awards, this is definitely a festival to look at.

April is Testicular Cancer Awareness Month, so what better time to launch Test Fest 2024?

This small but perfectly formed music festival takes place in June at Taunton RFC, Somerset, and probably punches a bit above its weight. The festival is going from strength to strength.

Not only is it about cancer awareness, but many survivors and their families attend and catch up with those who have had treatment, those just diagnosed or those still receiving treatment. This is like a mini Testicular Cancer family and seeing those great conversations tell IITB that they are doing the right thing.

There is still a trend for most of the bands and artists to donate their performance to the charity or play at a very reduced rate. This year Test Fest is on Saturday 15th June 2024 at Taunton Rugby Club include The Leylines, Filtay, Danny McMahon, Twisted Vinyl, Becky Lawrence, The Priddice Brothers Band, Big Brass Ska Band, Placeholder, Rock Choir, Tempus, Richard Huish College Band and DJ Tyler Hale. IITB are also supported by patrons: Downsy – MC/Compare and Nutty Noah – Family Entertainer.

IITB’s aims are to support men at diagnosis and during treatment, raise awareness to encourage early detection and celebrate the 96% survival rate from Penzance to Worcester.
