ID&C, a leader in festival and event accreditation solutions, is thrilled to announce Wychwood Festival as the Winner of the 2024 Festival Bursary, receiving £3000 off their festival accreditation. This bursary, designed to support festivals that embody the core values of Pride, Boldness, Curiosity, Community, and Adaptability, was fiercely competed for. However, Wychwood Festival stood out for its exceptional commitment to these principles, aligning closely with ID&C’s mission to enhance festival experiences through innovative and sustainable accreditation solutions.

Wychwood Festival, celebrated for its family-friendly atmosphere and inclusive approach, has demonstrated a remarkable journey since its inception in 2005. Through financial crises, the pandemic, and beyond, Wychwood has grown impressively, doubling its attendance year on year for the last two years and cementing its place as a pillar of the festival community. This growth is a testament to the festival’s pride in its history and its bold strategy in creating a loyal fan base through initiatives like the successful ‘ticket for life’ scheme.

ID&C is particularly impressed by Wychwood’s innovative engagement with its audience, especially through interactive social media campaigns and workshops that merge technology with creativity. These efforts not only bolster the festival’s community but also inspire the next generation of artists and thinkers.

“We’re very impressed with their application, and how well their values represent our own at ID&C. Wychwood has built a festival they are proud of, one that has adapted to the ever-changing event industry over the past 20 years, and that pushes different boundaries while keeping their customers part of the Wychwood Family. We are excited to be working closely with them this summer.” – ID&C.

The bursary will see Wychwood Festival benefiting from ID&C’s expertise in access control and security management solutions, including wristbands, lanyards, event passes, RFID, and sustainable options, ensuring the highest experience for all festival-goers.

Wychwood Festival’s commitment to adaptability, particularly in navigating the challenges posed by the pandemic, and its drive to maintain independence in an industry dominated by major players, were key factors in its selection as this year’s winner.

ID&C and Wychwood Festival look forward to a fruitful partnership that will set new standards in festival experiences, underpinned by shared values and a commitment to excellence.
