UK: The award-winning Hebridean Celtic Festival has confirmed an international line-up for its Islands Stage, which will again be sponsored by Lewis Wind Power. Lewis Wind Power, developers of Stornoway Wind Farm and Uisenis Wind Farm, are supporting HebCelt for the third successive year and are sponsoring the Islands Stage for the second year in a row.

The partnership with Lewis Wind Power fits with HebCelt’s environmental credentials. In 2015 the company introduced Ecocups, a rigid plastic branded cup designed to be re-used annually by the festival, helping to cut back on plastic waste as part of a policy to reduce the event’s environmental impact.

The stage will host acts such as Eleanor Nicolson, Tide Lines, The Lumber Jills, Lewis & Leigh, Lucy Spraggan, Ímar, The Hur, the Luke Jackson Trio, Tristan Horncastle, and Elephant Sessions.

Darren Cuming, project director for Lewis Wind Power, said: “We are delighted to be sponsoring the HebCelt festival’s Islands Stage again this year, underscoring our long-term commitment to the islands and promoting sustainability. We are keen to promote the talent of the islands’ musicians and attract musicians from across the globe.”

Festival Director Caroline Maclennan said: “We are extremely grateful to Lewis Wind Power for their ongoing sponsorship of the festival which helps us attract a quality programme of artists on the Islands Stage to provide a wide variety of acts for our audience to experience.”

This year’s HebCelt will run from July 19 – 22 in Stornoway in the island of Lewis, and will be headlined by The Waterboys, Imelda May and Dougie MacLean.
