Romania’s UNTOLD Festival is continuing its climb up the festival charts. After 4th place in Slingo’s top festival of 2024, UNTOLD wins 3rd place in Top Festivals by DJ Mag, up 3 places from last year after Tomorrowland and EDC Las Vegas. This year, the DJ Mag Top 100 Festivals had a record-breaking number of votes.
With a fantastic lineup of over 250 international and local artists, from the best live acts to DJs and producers, multiple stages and musical genres, stunning lights and pyro shows, dancers, magicians, and acrobats that surround the whole festival, UNTOLD gains more and more worldwide recognition from year to year. The 2023 edition had over 420,000 participants in all 4 days and nights of magic, with the best crowd in the world coming from more than 100 countries.
The UNTOLD Festival started from a dream. The dream was to do something spectacular for Romania and organize the most impactful event in Dracula’s country, a festival that could be alongside the best festivals in the world. This is how the idea of a festival in Cluj-Napoca, was born in 2015 when the city was designated the European Youth Capital. The team behind the festival, which won the Best Major Festival in Europe after its first edition, transformed their dream into reality.
Standout moments of the festival include special collaborations, surprise guest appearances, and unique stage productions that left a lasting impression on attendees, making the 2023 edition of UNTOLD Festival a truly remarkable experience. Now UNTOLD is in third place worldwide and the second-best festival in Europe, after Tomorrowland.
For the 9th edition of the festival this summer, the organizers of UNTOLD are preparing new magic on 8 stages, multiple music spots, different kinds of activities and fun games. Swedish House Mafia, Martin Garrix, FISHER, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Alok, Lost Frequencies, Carl Cox, Black Coffee, and Solomun are amongst the best DJs and producers on the planet who will join UNTOLD 2024. Some of the most powerful live acts on the main stage are Lenny Kravitz, Sam Smith, Louis Tomlinson, Burna Boy and Tom Grennan. Fans are awaited for a once-in-a-lifetime experience from August 8 to 11 in the heart of Transylvania, in the beautiful city of Cluj-Napoca.
