Fluisteraars are the final act to join Fortress Festival’s 2026 line-up. The Dutch atmospheric black metal duo will perform a UK exclusive show at Scarborough Spa from 30-31 May 2026. Fluisteraars “join a stacked line-up of international and exclusive acts, including Saturday headliners Old Man’s Child and Sunday headliners Gallowbraid”, says the festival. After more than 30 years, the three founders of Sónar – Enric Palau, Ricard Robles, and Sergio Caballero – have stepped away from the festival. Beginning in 1994, the Barcelona festival has expanded to include Sónar by day, Sónar by night and Sónar +D. Sónar was acquired by Superstruct Entertainment in 2018, with Superstruct itself being acquired by investment firm KKR in 2024. In a UK festival exclusive, Forbidden Forest has announced that the fire-breathing Arcadia Spider will be at its tenth anniversary show at Belvoir Castle, Grantham. The festival previously announced Chris Stussy as the first DJ confirmed for the 2026 line-up. Constructed from 95% recycled materials, the structure will take four days to build and brings something entirely new to Forbidden Forest for its tenth anniversary show.
