Eventbrite significantly grows its share of the UK festival market

UK: Several of the UK’s largest and most prominent music festivals, including We Are FSTVL, Ramblin’ Man Fair, Holi Festival of Colours, and Boomtown Fair, are now using Eventbrite to sell tickets for their upcoming festivals online. Combined, these four UK events expect to attract well over 100,000 attendees.

Abandoning their in-house ticketing system in favour of Eventbrite’s scalable solution and fully mobile optimised ticketshop, the creators of the Holi Festival of Colours’ World Tour in 40 cities have decided to not only host their London flagship event at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park through Eventbrite, but all of their European destinations.

Max Riedel, Co-Founder & Director Holi Festival of Colours elaborates on why they switched to Eventbrite: “We knew that Eventbrite was a serious alternative for us when we saw how seamlessly Eventbrite’s entry management worked at Jersey Live Festival getting everyone into the event fast and securely. What eventually convinced us were Eventbrite’s analytical features and the fact that we have full access to our festival goers’ information at any stage.”

“Ramblin Man Fair is an annual celebration of classic rock, prog, country and blues, and we want people to simply hang out and have a great time at our festival”, said the festival’s Managing Director Gary Turner, who has also decided to switch to Eventbrite. “Part of creating this atmosphere is making the ticket purchase and entry management as easy and frictionless as possible – and Eventbrite delivers that. With Eventbrite’s mobile optimised pages and apps, our fans can buy a ticket on their phone in two easy steps; they don’t even need to print out their ticket anymore. And for us as organisers it is a straightforward system, too, allowing us to access real time sales data and create new ticket types or add new information to our ticket page whenever we need to.”

“Eventbrite’s founders had originally created the company to bring ticketing to the ‘long tail’ of small and medium sized events”, said Limvirak Chea, Eventbrite’s VP of business development in EMEA. “Having said that, they always anticipated that our innovative technology would be used for much larger events as well, and built the platform accordingly. Having processed tens of millions of tickets for 165,000 concerts and festivals worldwide, I think it’s fair to say that we have proven that our platform can handle volume and massive on-sales reliably, and the UK festival industry seems to take note.”
