THAILAND: Following a massively successful event in 2014, together with Retox Sessions and Contango, 808 Festival has announced its return on Wednesday December 9 2015. The event will once again take place at the BITEC Convention Centre in Bangkok. Last year saw 808 Festival in Thailand expand to include the addition of a second stage and a line-up that included more underground music, and the event returns this year with the same format but boasting a star-studded line-up that is jam-packed with Grammy nominated producers and the electronic dance music industry’s biggest DJs.

The 808 Arena is the event’s main stage that is dedicated to EDM and boasts a line-up that is bigger than it’s ever seen before. On the bill are some of EDM’s heaviest hitters, including Grammy nominated Armin van Buuren, Axwell Ʌ Ingrosso who make up two thirds of the now defunct Swedish House Mafia, and Oliver Heldens. More additions are expected in the coming weeks.

The Sunn Arena, previously the Retox Area, is 808 Festival’s exclusive underground dance music concept stage. Some of the most exciting names from around the world are slated to play this year, including Ibiza resident Jamie Jones as well as Dirtybird Records label boss Claude VonStroke. Additions to the line-up will also be revealed shortly.

For only its third year, the unveiling of such a line-up signifies that 808 Festival has undoubtedly become the largest and most diverse one-day festival in Thailand, marking a progression in Thailand’s dance music community and putting it on the map as a destination for music lovers in the region.
