FRANCE: Snow & music festival Rise has confirmed a myriad of talent and partners for 2016 including Kano, Seth Troxler, Metrik and Bondax along with Rinse FM, Ibiza Rocks, Hospitality and more. Taking over the award-winning Les Deux Alps in France from December 10 – 17, Rise Festival brings together electronic music, an award-winning snow setting and various experiences at 3000 metres above sea level.

This winter Rise Festival will bring the best of house, drum & bass, garage and more to the French mountains, featuring the Mercury-nominated grime king-pin Kano, house heavyweight Seth Troxler, Hospital Records drum & bass master Metrik, and electronic duo Bondax plus Monki, My Nu Leng, Artful Dodger, Midland and Artwork. Also providing the soundtrack against the backdrop of the Alps will be Bas Ibellini, Nu:tone, Logistics, Kyrwald & Farrer, Richy Ahmed, Logistics, Etherwood, Dub Phizix, Strategy, Channel One, Dynamite MC and more.

Rise is teaming up with leading promoters and labels to host parties throughout the week, taking over apres-ski bars with panoramic views, state of the art arenas, clubs and secret huts. Onboard for 2016 are radio pioneers Rinse FM, Jackmaster’s Tweakaholic, Ibiza Rocks, nostalgic club night prosRegression sessions plus Hospitality Records, Percolate, Shorebitch and We Are Rockstars (W.A.R).

Rise takes place in the award-winning Les Deux Alps resort in France, home to Europe’s largest skiable glacier that provides all year round snow sports. Offering 222km of pistes, 100 piste runs, 55 ski lifts, a top-to-bottom piste length of 8km plus an award winning snowpark, Les Deux Alps caters for skiers and boarders of all abilities. Each festival ticket includes a lift pass so revellers can take to the slopes all week and lessons can be booked through the Rise website for beginners or anyone looking to brush up on their skills.

Rise Festival’s eclectic programme brings a slice of wellbeing and adventure to the mountain this year. The festival invites revellers to delve into the unknown, whether it’s snowshoeing into the alpine forests to enjoy a dinner under the stars, driving a team of Nordic huskies through snowy landscapes or taking part in a series of R Games to see who’s master of the slopes. Those looking for respite from all the action can book themselves into a spa, join a meditative yoga session with mountainside views or step into the Bejeweled Den for bit of retail therapy.

The only snow music festival in Europe to take place in December, Rise brings some of the best-loved festive favourites for holiday-makers to celebrate Christmas away from home and in the snow. An authentic German beer market, disco ice rink, Christmas tree, carols and turning on the lights are all set to get revellers in the festive spirit. Artful Dodger will be hosting a special festive Cirque Du Soul Xmas Party during the Thursday night.
