BBC Radio 1 to broadcast live from Hideout Festival

CROATIA: On June 30, BBC Radio 1 will once again partner with Hideout Festival for a Friday night broadcast as part of Radio 1’s summer festival coverage. Transmitting live from the event, Radio 1 will bring four hours of live music from the station’s very own Danny Howard and B.Traits, plus sets from Dusky, Solardo, Skream and Eats Everything.

Over 100 artists will descend on Hideout Festival this year for five days and nights in Zrce Beach’s open air clubs and on its boat parties. Major Lazer Soundsystem, Diplo, Jamie Jones, Marco Carola, Stormzy, The Martinez Brothers, Hannah Wants, Hot Since 82 and many more are billed for the 2017 instalment.

Gatekeeper of BBC Radio 1’s Friday night dance programme and Saturday’s dance anthems, Danny Howard, will return to Hideout to kick off the live broadcast with fellow dance family member, Friday night DJ and broadcaster B.Traits. London duo Dusky and 2016’s fastest risers Solardo are set to play alongside crowd favourite Skream. Edible boss Eats Everything will serve up the final set.

Mark Newton, Director of Hideout Festival, commented: “We’re really excited that Radio 1 is coming back to Croatia with us this year. Last year’s programme was a huge success, and this year we are stepping things up by broadcasting live from the final night of the festival with some of the leading tastemakers in electronic music. This is Hideout Festival’s seventh year and our biggest programme yet, and this partnership is key in delivering quality, forward thinking music to our customers and the listeners back in the UK and worldwide.”
