East of England Arena secures Festival of Vintage

UK: The East of England Arena and Events Centre (EEAEC) has announced that the Festival of Vintage – an event celebrating the music, fashion and style from the 1930s to the 1960s – will be coming to the venue in September 2020, organised by former EEAEC marketing manager, Keeley Harris.

The festival will include vintage entertainment, fashion parades, classic vehicle displays, shopping and live music, and is aimed at meeting the growing interest in vintage clothes, vehicles, music and lifestyle.

Keeley Harris, founder and organiser of the Festival of Vintage, said: “I’m really excited to be bringing the Festival of Vintage to my hometown of Peterborough. The festival has been held in York for the last 10 years and has attracted a huge following with thousands of people attending from across the world. I’m really pleased that this success will now be replicated at the East of England Arena, a place which has a special place in my heart because I was marketing manager there about 15 years ago before I relocated to Yorkshire. It’s great that 2020 will see two Festivals of Vintage – in York in April and in Peterborough in September.”

Dean Rees, business development manager, EEAEC, said: “We’re attracting a more diverse portfolio of events to our venue, from Comic-cons to classic car shows. The Festival of Vintage will be a great addition to these and demonstrates to us that there are many more directions for this trend to branch out into, so we’re very pleased to welcome this popular event to our venue.”
