Record Summer for Weezevent’s Cashless Solution

Valley Fest 2021, A Weezevent client.

Weezevent is reporting record deployment figures for their cashless solution in 10 countries, namely France, Belgium, Spain, Switzerland, UK, Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Portugal, and Canada, thus placing the company as the most widespread cashless provider in the market.

Between June and July this year, more than 200 events have already implemented Weezevent’s cashless technology to manage their Food & Beverage sales, including iconic events such as the Paleo Festival in Switzerland, Ed Sheeran and Les Ardentes in Belgium, Hellfest and Vieilles Charrues in France, Interstellar and Cruïlla in Spain, Boom Festival in Portugal, Novarock in Austria, and Splash Festival in Germany.

In a statement, a spokesperson said: “With more than 170 million euros in cashless transactions in only 2 months, this has been the highest level of activity in our history. This success testifies to the dynamism of live events and the massive and borderless adoption of cashless in the wake of the pandemic, and announces a very promising second half of the season for the company.

“These exceptional results are made possible thanks to the 120 Weezevent experts who work closely with event organisers in the deployment of a powerful software suite combining ticketing, cashless and access control. All making use of more than 35,000 state of the art terminals.”

Pierre-Henri Deballon, CEO of Weezevent, added: “For 2 years our activity was at a standstill, but we have been able to strengthen ourselves to become the standout reference in the market, notably by investing massively abroad. In 2022, our turnover will double compared to 2019. And the second half of the summer with the Spa Francorchamps Grand Prix, LollaPalooza Berlin, Boomtown and then the winter season in South America looks just as promising.”
