Soundcrash and Brixton Disco Festival welcome one of the most iconic figures in music to headline Love Motion, a brand new disco, soul and electronic all-dayer on Friday, 26 July. Pop culture icon Grace Jones will take to the Crystal Palace stage alongside a supportive line-up of incredible talent as part of the South Facing festival.

Grace Jones, as singer, actress, author, traveller, artist and revolutionist, has been a shape-shifting, trouble-making meta-presence in the entertainment universe since she emerged as a model in New York City and Paris in the early 1970s. She’ll bring her electric presence to South London this year.

Also announced for Love Motion is the noted Irish singer and dance-pop star Róisín Murphy and legendary party-starters Horse Meat Disco also.

Rounding off this huge announcement is the French ambassador of stylish club sounds, Dimitri from Paris, disco DJ from London, Oli Keens, and Brighton-based instrumentalist, producer and DJ, J-Felix, who is flying the flag for modern funk and UK soul.

“Our aim is to produce an event that is fully inclusive and really brings the party! Completely over the moon that Grace, Róisín, and such an incredible bill have chosen to play this event over many others in town. The Bowl at Crystal Palace being such a cool location should really add to the vibe.” – Rob Waller, Founder and promoter, Soundcrash.

Meanwhile, 3 August will see Dizzee Rascal perform, alongside an all-star line-up, including special guest British MC Lethal Bizzle, whose UK grime anthem ‘POW’ celebrates its 20th anniversary this year.

West London pirate radio station, Kurupt FM, is joining this huge line-up of UK talent, with a high-energy b2b set from Decoy and Beats. Also confirmed are emerging UK Garage DJ, producer & presenter SHOSH and upcoming DJ in the UK underground scene, Efan, with more names to be announced.
