A long lost part of Boomtown’s landscape is making its return, alongside a new wave of names being announced today. Anara Forest, once a hidden gem, is reemerging for 2025, bringing new life to an area that has always been part of the festival’s rich history. For the first time since 2019, the former Psyforest area will be transforming into a fully immersive 360° sound and visual experience.

In Boomtown’s ever-evolving narrative, runaways from Area 404 have ventured into the forest and claimed it as their own, breathing new energy into this long-forgotten space. Nestled on the outskirts of the city, Anara Forest will once again provide a home for some of the most exciting underground sounds, blending cutting-edge music with a uniquely immersive atmosphere.

A carefully curated lineup of artists and collectives will bring an eclectic mix of bass-driven sounds to the forest. From the raw energy of jungle, reggae and bassline to the deeper tones of UK garage and grime, the stage will host historical and pioneering names who continue to push their genres forward.

Kicking off with the legendary General Levy, a huge figure within the reggae, dancehall and jungle scene, joined by friends Ed Solo, Serial Killaz, and Navigator. Followed by the global DnB icon DJ Marky, bringing his signature Brazilian flair, while long-serving jungle soldier Congo Natty (Rebel MC) brings his roots to the forest. Mungo’s HiFi will elevate the sound system culture to new heights, and UKG/grime vocalist Flowdan, the first British MC to win a Grammy Award will add his fiery energy to Boomtown 2025. Also announced today are Elliot Keith, Anais B2B Taiki Nulight and Mixtress B2B Pete Cannon each delivering their own unique take on the sonic landscape of Anara Forest.

Critical Sound is set to deliver its signature heavyweight drum & bass energy to Boomtown 2025 with an exclusive stage takeover, delivering a cutting-edge showcase of underground sounds. As one of the most influential labels in the scene, Critical Music has built a reputation for pushing the boundaries of bass music, and this year’s lineup promises to be no exception. Expect high-intensity sets from Enei B2B Simula, Ed Rush & Optical, Imanu B2B The Caracel Project, Calyx B2B Mefjus, Kasra, EN : VY B2B Sequent, QZB B2B Waeys, Spectral, Visla B2B SMG, Napes B2B Samurai Breaks and Mantra B2B Sully.

Meanwhile, EC2A will be heating up Anara Forest delivering the best in cutting-edge UKG, Techno, House and bass-driven energy. Led by label boss Dr. Dubplate, EC2A has established itself as a powerhouse in the underground scene, spearheading a new wave of speed garage and pushing innovative sounds to the forefront of electronic music. Expect a heavyweight lineup featuring Dr. Dubplate himself, rising star boy Interplanetary Criminal delivering the best in UKG alongside Eliza Rose, Skeptic, and Yemz. Bringing the heat on the House and Techno front are Malugi, DJ ADHD B2B DJ Fuckoff, all promising next-level energy at Boomtown 2025.

With hundreds of artists still to be announced, Boomtown’s musical programme is shaping up to be a vibrant tapestry of sound, featuring everything from hip-hop and post-punk to reggae, world music, folk, and beyond. With genres spanning drum and bass, techno, house, rock, jungle, disco, and psytrance, the lineup promises a sonic journey like no other.

With a strong emphasis on environmental activism, the festival is a dynamic platform for action through a rich fusion of music, culture, and advocacy. Continuing Boomtown’s tradition of extraordinary entertainment, featuring immersive narratives, modern circus performances, art, and dance, rounded-off with jaw-dropping production, are three guiding pillars: Creativity, Connection, and Celebration, with the core values of Respect yourself, Respect each other, and Respect the planet inspiring every interaction.
