    While there’s definitely no shortage of festivals in the UK, sometimes we want a bit more sun (or snow) from our weekend away. Not everybody likes mud, after all. If that’s you, then take a look at our picks for some of the top festivals that Europe has to offer in 2026.


    Way Out West

    Festival: Way Out West

    Location: Gothenburg, Sweden

    Dates: 13-15 August 2026

    Acts: Lorde, Moby, Zara Larsson, sombr, Geese and more

    Nestled in the heart of Gothenburg is Way Out West, one of Sweden’s biggest and longest running festivals. Set across three-days, this much loved festival will host a cross-cultural line-up that includes Blood Orange, Zara Larsson, Geese, Clipse, The Gorillaz and many more.

    Location: Roskilde (nr. Copenhagen), Denmark

    Dates: 27 June – 4 July

    Acts: David Byrne, The Cure, Kneecap, Ethel Cain, Bad Gyal and more

    Known for its huge line-ups, a focus on sustainability and diverse audiences, Roskilde Festival is a summer staple for festival-goers from across Denmark and beyond. It’s a place where major international acts perform amidst gigantic art installations, and as a registered charity which donates all profits to charitable causes Roskilde is a place where you can party with principles.

    Location: Azeitão, Portugal

    Dates: 21-24 May 2026

    Acts: Bonobo, Seth Troxler, Monolink and more

    In what may be one of Europe’s most unique festival environments, Portugal’s YARD Festival returns to its cavernous home in the White Sands Mountains for its annual celebration of house and electronic music. The likes of Bonobo, Monolink, RY X and Jamie Jones are on the line-up, all set within a carnival atmosphere under the Iberian sun.

    Location: Gdynia-Kosakowo Airfield, Poland

    Dates: 1-4 July 2026

    Acts: David Byrne, The xx, Calvin Harris, Ethel Cain and more

    Set in the industrial surroundings of a former airfield, Open’er brings global acts and local talent to Poland. This four-day festival boasts a line-up that rivals the Glastonburys of this world, including Addison Rae, Calvin Harris, Audrey Nuna, JADE, Teddy Swims and more.

    From its humble inception in 1999 to becoming one of Norway’s biggest festivals, Øyafestivalen has grew into a cultural beacon for music fans across Europe. With a stacked line-up that includes SOMBR, Amyl & The Sniffers, Blood Orange, Mogwai and more, there’s quite simply something for everyone at Øyafestivalen.

    Taking place in the blissful surroundings of Italy’s Adriatic coast, the aptly named Adriatic Sound Festival blends rich Roman heritage with cutting-edge dance music. Launched in 2025, the festival will bring the likes of Sven Väth, ¥ØU$UK€ ¥UK1MAT$U, Jazzy B2B Jowi and more to a truly unique location.

    Location: Barcelona, Spain

    Dates: 3-7 June 2026

    Acts: Doja Cat, The Cure, The xx, Gorillaz, Massive Attack and more

    Nobody needs an excuse to visit Barcelona, but there’s simply no excuse to get on that plane when the Primavera Sound weekend comes around. Known for its eclectic and diverse line-up, this year’s edition will see Doja Cat, Skrillex, PinkPantheress, Mac DeMarco and around 100 acts perform at the Barcelona beachfront festival.

    Location: Tisno, Croatia

    Dates: 1-6 July 2026

    Acts: Andy C, Dillinja, Flava D, Metrik and more

    If you’re looking for bass heavy beats on the beach, few festivals do it better than Hospitality on the Beach. Set in the lush surroundings of Croatia, the headline acts for next year’s edition include Sub Focus, Andy C and Metrik, and who are joined by global acts such as Dillinja, Calibre, Flava D and more.
