The Netherlands-based music festival and conference Eurosonic Noorderslag (ESNS) has closed its doors for another year.
Celebrating its 40th edition in 2026, the Groningen festival welcomed almost 300 European acts from 39 countries, and hosted around 40,000 attendees over four days. More than 4,000 accredited music professionals also descended on Groningen, says the festival.
The event officially opened on Wednesday 14 January with a ceremony at De Oosterpoort led by Queen Máxima and ESNS managing director Anna van Nunen before taking over the city with performances from a host of emerging European talent across 18 stages. creating a concentrated platform for discovery, networking, and professional exchange.
The ESNS Conference welcomed more than 4,000 delegates and featured over 520 speakers across panels, workshops, and keynote sessions, says the festival.
