We’re all trying to save the planet, but it’s no secret that our summertime festivals take up a lot of energy, both in terms of electrical power and for the audience three days of late-night dancing. But within that many innovations are being made, from stages powered by 100% renewable energy to vegan only menus, wood heated showers and much more.

Here are some the UK’s best weekenders that place sustainability at the forefront of their festival.

Boomtown is not quite like a typical festival, more of a living and breathing city over four days. From immersive stages hosting some of the biggest dance acts on the planet to a host of daytime activities, whether you’re an early riser or a late raver Boomtown has you covered. Tickets for Boomtown’s 2026 are officially sold out, but resale tickets can be found through Kaboodle.
