LIDO 2026 reschedules from June to August

London’s LIDO festival has announced that it can no longer take place in its original dates of June order to “protect park grounds” in its Victoria Park location.

Maribou State alongside full support now moves to 31 August from 13 June. The festival’s original 12 June event, headlined by CMAT, and the 14 June event, headlined by Bombay Bicycle Club, have been cancelled as they could not be rescheduled.

In a statement, LIDO said the decision to cancel some of its events comes after Victoria Park recently underwent a reseeding programme due to a drought last summer. This also caused dust issues at events in the park following LIDO’s 2025 series of events.

“Following one of the wettest winters in recent history, our advisors recommended giving these newly improved areas a little more time before starting the festival programme,” LIDO’s statement read. “This ensures the progress made is protected and continues to benefit the community throughout the spring and early summer.”

LIDO added that “any changes are in no way the fault of the artists or London Borough of Tower Hamlets (LBTH), all of whom have been fully supportive.”

The Brit winner CMAT said they were “truly devastated” by the cancellation of their headline set, going on to say “I realise this will cause issues for some of you who have bought tickets and may be travelling and for that I can only say sorry.”

“This one is very much out of our hands but that doesn’t change how horribly we feel about the impact on fans who have bought tickets,” added British act Bombay Bicycle Club. “We know many of you made special plans and were going to travel from far and wide for this show and we are very sorry for the inconvenience this will cause you.”
