The Australian state of Victoria, in partnership with Music Victoria, has announced the recipients for its third round of the Live Music Festivals Fund.
The grants, which total more than A$640,000, will go to a mix of metropolitan and regional events which the government says will create “opportunities for artists, boosting local economies and drawing audiences to communities across Victoria.”
Recipients include Port Fairy Folk Festival, Riverboats Music Festival, Our Survival Day and inclusive festival Ability Fest.
Some of the recipients include those that were impacted by the January 2026 bushfires, such as Castlemaine’s Town Folk Festival, Tallarook’s Interstellar Groove Festival and Beechworth’s High Country Hop.
Since its launch in 2024, the fund has provided grants to almost 50 festivals. The full list of recipients can be found here.
