The long-running dance festival Creamfields, celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2027, has announced a new stage concept from Lucid Creates: Runway 2.0. The Cheshire-based festival will return to Daresbury from 26–29 August 2027.
The original Runway stage debuted in 2022 and evolved into HALO in 2025, featuring a 45-metre circular arena with overhead video, lighting and sound.
Runway 2.0 will take elements from both the original Runway and HALO concepts developed by creative studio Lucid Creates. The festival says Runway 2.0 will take defining features from both structures and will have a capacity of 20,000, spanning 60m long and 40m wide.
The reconfigured arena layout will combine HALO’s circular design with Runway’s structure, which extends out into the crowd. The centre of the stage will feature three 15-metre overhead diamond structures lined with LED screens.
Creamfields says: “The result promises to be one of the most ambitious stage developments in Creamfields’ history, bringing together the scale, energy and atmosphere of Runway with the groundbreaking production and 360-degree experience of HALO, reimagined on an entirely new scale.”
