FOCUS Wales has unveiled 76 acts from 18 nations, including Scottish indie rock band Idlewild, South London post-punk quintet Shame and alt-indie band FatDog. The Welsh showcase takes place in Wrexham from 7-9 May 2026.

Following its 15th anniversary in 2025 that welcomed 25,000 music fans, 260 performing artists and 422 international delegates—and which saw FOCUS Wales win ‘Best Initiative for Emerging Talent’ at the UK Festival Awards, the festival welcomes more acts to the 2026 edition, including Deerhoof, Moonlandingz,, Moonchild Sanelly, Gwenno and more.

Building on its celebration of Welsh talent, FOCUS Wales continues to champion minority languages with acts including Dewin, who blend jazz and classical influences with Welsh-language pop, bilingual rapper Sage Todz, who champions Welsh hip-hop, and Cardiff’s HMS Morris, who delivers psychedelic electro-pop across both languages.

Andy Jones, Co-founder and Head of Music, Focus Wales, explains: “There’s much more to come, but this first announcement already reflects the spirit of the festival at its best — forward-thinking artists from around the world, bold new voices from Wales and the wider UK, and a shared sense of creativity that crosses borders and traditions. I think our audiences will feel that energy the moment they arrive.”

FOCUS Wales is supported by the Arts Council of Wales, Welsh Government and PRS Foundation’s Talent Development Network. View the full line-up here.
