Rhode Island’s long-running music festival Newport Jazz Festival has announced the jazz and funk bassist Thundercat and breakout duo Angine de Poitrine for its 2026 edition.
Taking place at Fort Adams State Park, Rhode Island, from 31 July to 2 August, the two acts join a stacked roster at the festival. Those include legendary jazz musician Herbie Hancock, Vulfpeck, Little Simz and a special celebration of the music and works of Alice Coltrane and Miles Davis, featuring Kamasi Washington and Chief Adjuah.
Now in its 72nd edition, Newport Jazz Festival will also welcome Flea and the Honora Band, Gary Clark Jr. and the Jonathan Batiste Trios at the sprawling event.
