The first All Ireland Fleadh, taking place in Belfast, Northern Ireland, welcomed more than a million visits during its week-long run.
The festival is a celebration of Irish music and culture began in 1951, and took plac from 2-9 August this year. 2026 marked a record year in terms of attendance.
Figures provided by Belfast One Business Improvement District stated that 1.65 million visits were made during the festival’s run, which encompasses pub sessions, street performances, stage shows and more.
As reported by the BBC, Niall McClean, co-chair of the organising committee, said during a closing speech: “We’ve done something that has never, ever happened in this city before. We’ve brought every single community together – and everybody has absolutely loved it.“
