Meshh to Monitor Visitor Movements and London E-Prix

Meshh, the location-based intelligence and interaction specialist, will be deploying its spatial analytic services at the ExCeL London on July 30 – 31, for the 2022 London E-Prix, after a successful weekend at the 2022 New York City E-Prix on July 16.

Meshh has been working with the Formula E Events and Insights teams to measure and evaluate visitor movements at The ABB FIA Formula E World Championship, having previously attended the 2022 New York City E-Prix, July 16 -17, to help understand on-site fan experience and pedestrian traffic around the circuit.

Jessica Pomfret, account director at Meshh, explained, “We will be on-site during the event, and our sensors will be deployed around the venue. The data collected will measure movement around the circuit and focus on several areas Formula E has identified as topics of interest on how fans engage with the events schedule and activities.

“The unique inside and outside circuit at ExCeL London means versatile tools are needed to reliably measure and evaluate the movement of people around the variety of facilities around the track.” Pomfret added.

Matt Roberts, Research and Insights Director at Formula E, commented, “Meshh is a trusted measurement provider for several prominent motor sporting events, and the measurement tools it provides will be used by Formula E to gain a deeper understanding of the relationship between the many features of this world-changing event and the movement of visitors and spectators around them.”

The Meshh technology passively captures footfall, engagement, dwell time, impact, frequency, and journey paths, providing clients with a clear picture of people’s behaviour in that location.

The data and insights provided by Meshh are used to improve event planning and space design, measure engagement with event assets, illustrate to sponsors and advertisers how much exposure their brand achieves, demonstrate ROI to stakeholders and commercial partners, and provide a benchmark for future events and activations.
