Shaggy, Burning Spear and Tarrus Riley have been announced as the headliners for Rotatom Sunsplash’s 30 year anniversary festival.
Taking place from 16 to 23 August 2025 in Benicàssim, Spain, the festival is a hive for all things roots, reggae, dub and dancehall.
Shaggy, Burning Spear and Tarrus Riley join the likes of Tiken Jah Fakoly, Steel Pulse, Misty In Roots and The Wailers. Paying tribute to Jamaica’s rich dancehall history, the festival will also feature a dedicated sound system stage with appearances from David Rodigan and Jazzy T, meanwhile acts like Sister Nancy, Mad Professor and Channel One will be spinning on the Dub Academy stage.

Filippo Giunta, Rototom Sunsplash Director, says: “Celebrating life means appreciating, honouring and fully enjoying existence, recognising the value and beauty of life itself. With its moments of joy, of gratitude, of reflection, of sharing experiences, like the one that Rototom makes possible every summer. When thousands of people of different ages, cultures and origins manage to live together peacefully and joyfully, creating a world of peace and love, that is ‘celebrating life’. And in these times of war and hatred in many parts of the world, we want to celebrate these values more strongly than ever. Celebrating life is our leitmotif for this long-awaited anniversary; light, and calm, in difficult times.”
