The Danish music scene is also represented through local acts Tobias Rahim, Tessa, Aphaca, and TV-2, singer-songwriter Pil and Danish duo Vanessa Amara, whose work can be heard as co-producers of Rosalía’s latest album LUX.
The first names for Roskilde’s art and activism programme include Noah Umur Kanber who presents the performance I Feel Like a Piece of Paper, while Swedish artist Andreas Haglund performs Feral Fantasies. Danish-Azerbaijani artist Sahar Jamili, Esben Holk, Dorotea Saykaly and more also appear during the week.
This year’s festival will be headlined by The Cure, Gorillaz, David Byrne and Zara Larsson, who will be joined by Lily Allen, Kneecap, Wolf Alice and more.
Thomas Sønderby Jepsen, Head of Music at Roskilde Festival said: “As an independent, non-profit festival, supporting and celebrating diversity is at the heart of what we do at Roskilde Festival. Our programming reflects this mission, presenting our participants with some of the most innovative and influential trends from music scenes across the globe, alongside artists who have become true icons over the years.
The Danish music scene is thriving these years. A strong wave of new artists and a renewed confidence in using the Danish language in lyrics are emerging. The trend of embracing one’s own language is also becoming evident internationally, contributing to a rich diversity of expression.”
Roskilde Festival takes place 27 June – 4 July 2026 nr. Copenhagen, Denmark. Tickets are available now.
