Vision: 2025 and Julie’s Bicycle have launched a 12-month pilot with ten local authorities including Manchester, Bristol and Reading, to test how the Green Events Code of Practice (GECOP) can be used to embed sustainability within local authority processes. Forbidden Forest Festival, which will be held in the grounds of Belvoir Castle on 30th May-3rd June 2024, has had a revised licence application approved by Melton Borough Council. The new licence allows the festival to accommodate 22,000 people for the weekend event, versus 14,999 people which its previous licence allowed for. The campsite will now open for festival goers on Thursday 30th May.
