Vital funds raised by DHP Family’s charity festival Beat the Streets in 2023 have been handed over to Framework to support its work helping the homeless population in Nottingham. The Sarah Nulty Community Impact UK Festival Award-winner generated £89,500 from this year’s outing in January – up from £76,000 last year – thanks to a combination of ticket sales, bar takings and donations. Since the Campaign to Save Brixton Academy Launched on Thursday 11th May the NTIA have confirmed that they have had an amazing response to the campaign with over 10,000 written representations submitted to Lambeth Council in support, on top of the 100,000 music fans which have signed the change.org petition to keep the Brixton Academy open. PRS Foundation, the UK’s leading charitable funder of new music and talent development, has revealed the findings of an independent evaluation of the impacts of ten years of its PPL Momentum Music Fund. BillyChip, the social enterprise scheme which aims to empower rough sleepers, will be launching BillyChip Live at this year’s Glastonbury Festival from 21 to 25 June. The official launch will take place in The Common, where BillyChip Live will showcase Wilkinson, the record producer, DJ and remixer. BillyChip was set up in 2018 to continue the legacy of Billy Abernethy-Hope, a twenty year old ambulance driver from Bristol.
