Organisers SMS Event Production Ltd announced the cancellation, citing increased costs and lower than anticipated sales as reasons for the cancellation, adding “For a festival in its first year the combination of these obstacles, as well as a key investment failing to come through, has made it impossible for us to go ahead.” they also announced the winding up of the company.

Phillip is the CEO of Carnival Village Trust, London’s leading Carnival development agency, which is dedicated to supporting and delivering an integrated programme of Carnival arts. In a valiant attempt to make insurance interesting, musical and musician insurers, Insure4Music analysed some data recently and found that Glastonbury tickets could cost more than £78,000 by 2072. Already rumoured to be featuring Coldplay with Keith Richards guesting, the ticket price is calculated by increasing this year’s price by the rate of increase from 1970 to this year, a whopping 27,900%.
