CZECH REPUBLIC: Since selling the Czech Republic’s first JBL VTX V20 system to Brno-based Kletch, enabling them to service the massive Pohoda Festival at Trenčín Slovensko, Harman Professional’s territorial distributor, AudioMaster CZ, has ensured the rig has been seen regularly at outdoor festivals throughout the summer. The most recent of these was the Bohemia JazzFest 2015, for which AudioMaster CZ fielded its own system to give it further exposure. UK: Each year, tens of thousands of festivalgoers head to Reading Festival over the August Bank Holiday weekend and after, many leave behind their camping equipment. Festival Republic has announced a collaborative partnership with Knowledge Transfer Network and Julie’s Bicycle to tackle this environmental issue. After every festival, volunteers take part in a salvage operation to scour camp sites, recovering tents, sleeping bags, and camping equipment left behind at the end of the festival. GERMANY: When tens of thousands of heavy metal fans descended upon the small town of Wacken, Germany, for the Wacken Open Air festival held from July 30 to August 1, organisers were ready, having deployed a comprehensive communications solution built on Riedel Communications’ MediorNet real-time media network and artist digital matrix intercom system.
