This year Mysteryland USA is committed to supporting local communities again with its 10.000 HOURS project and is being recognised by Julie’s Bicycle for last year’s environmental sustainability efforts to reduce the impact of its festival footprint. Mysteryland will lend a helping hand to the local communities…

UK: Bury’s Parklife Festival – set to take place from June 6 – 7 – has revealed what is quite possibly the best line-up of 2015 (according to my 100% objectively correct opinion). Hip-hop legends Wu-Tang Clan, Nas, Madlib, and the Roots feature, along with FKA Twigs, James Blake, Nicolas Jaar, Jamie xx, Caribou, Fatboy Slim, Chet Faker, Earl Sweatshirt, Badbadnotgood, Hudson Mohawke, Todd Terje and the Olson band, Kaytranada, Sango, Bauuer, Action Bronson, Jessie Ware, Metronomy, Seth Troxler b2b with Eats Everything, J.E.T.S, and Mac DeMarco. Oh, and Disclosure and Rudimental are headlining, which I guess some people will…
UK: With a line-up already comprising such legends as The Who, Kylie Minogue, Chic feat. Nile Rogers and Taylor Swift, BST Hyde Park has confirmed that a reformed Blur will headline the London festival on June 20, following the release of their newly announced album The Magic Whip, set for release on April 27. The festival’s general on-sale starts on February 27, with the Barclaycard pre-sale beginning here on February 24 and the AEG/BST pre-sale here on February 26.
CAMBODIA: Citing the prevention of ‘indecent tourism’ as their motive, Cambodian authorities have allegedly denied access to the bridge leading to the venue of kaZantip’s Cambodian debut. Set to take place from February 18 – 28, it seems that the predominantly electronic festival will no longer go ahead. Organiser Nikita Marshunok posted a somewhat confusing statement on the festival’s official website. An excerpt of said statement is as follows: ‘You will get me very upset if you are bored with each other on the other side of the bridge, etc. as long as we are fighting for the life of…

Tapping into the lyrical, musical and storytelling culture of the city, its eclectic programme will take place across 10 days. The full programme will be launched in March but tickets for some events are now available here. Dublin has long been known for its tradition of musical innovation and MusicTown will…
CANADA: The Isle of Wight’s flamboyant and deservedly self-aggrandising Bestival is debuting its first overseas iteration in Toronto, ostensibly aiming to mirror the kaleidoscopic aesthetic and eclectic roster of its British parent. Ticket prices and artist bookings have yet to be announced, but you can check out the official website here. Set to take place from June 12 – 13, the 20,000 capacity festival will be held on Hanlan’s Point Beach in the Toronto Islands and is a collaborative effort between SFX Entertainment and the Canadian company Embrace. Bestival Organiser Rob da Bank told the New York Times: “No disrespect…
UK: Contracted by promoters Done Events, Delta Sound were once again the main supplier of the full PA system and full production control for both Redfest’s main stage and the additional ‘Reebok Classic stage’. RF, IEM and microphone package for the two-day event were supplied as per artists’ requirements. Due to the amount of control equipment required at FOH the areas had to be larger than usual. To avoid unnecessary sight line issues the promoter split the positions from centre to 25m stage left for audio and stage right for video and lighting. “I took a slightly different approach with…
